5 Reasons Why WWE SummerSlam 2018's Main Event Will Fail

3. The Heyman Drama Could Overshadow It

Without wanting to sound like a smart-ass who's pushing aside Roman Reigns for the sake of it, this writer cannot help but feel like what happened on Raw between Brock and Paul Heyman is 10 times more interesting than SummerSlam's headline match. For the record, that's not written with any perverse sense of pleasure or wish to see Reigns fail.

The fact is this though: the thought of Lesnar shaking up his career by casting Heyman out has the drama Brock's tired issues with Roman lack.

WWE's headline story heading into arguably the second-biggest pay-per-view of the year is playing second fiddle to a mouthy "Advocate" who maybe, just maybe, will find himself seeking other clients post-show. That is the intrigue, not whether or not Lesnar will defend his Universal Title against perennial challenger Reigns.

Heyman, Lesnar, Reigns and the agent producing their match on 19 August must be mindful not to let Paul's melodramatic appeal to Brock's senses overshadow the Universal Title fight. It's important to remember that there's a World Title on the line here.
