4. A Chance For Former Divas To Return
One of the most anticipated features of the Royal Rumble match each year is that fans usually get to see a number of their favourite Superstars from the past make surprise one-off appearances. Indeed this years Royal Rumble saw surprise appearances from The Boogeyman and Diamond Dallas Page, whilst WWE Hall of Famers such as Rowdy Roddy Piper (2008) and Hacksaw Jim Duggan (2012) have also competed in recent years. The introduction of a Divas Royal Rumble match would allow WWE to bring back some of their more popular female wrestlers from the past for similar one-off appearances. Obviously there isnt the same wealth of former talent in the womens division as the mens, however you would have to imagine that a return from the likes of Trish Stratus or Lita would get a huge pop from the fans. With
Lita having recently become contracted with WWE full-time again this could even be a great way to reintroduce her back onto WWE television. Just as long as the WWE could convince one or two former Divas to return each year and not have to resort to bringing back Santina Marella then there is little doubt that these returns could help make an annual Divas Royal Rumble match a big hit with the fans.
