5 Rivalries WWE Should NOT Book In 2020 (And 5 They Should)

6. Should NOT Book - Edge Vs. AJ Styles

Edge made his triumphant in-ring return earlier this year at the Royal Rumble event and picked up a fight with his old rival Randy Orton as the two frenemies fought in a 'Last Man Standing' bout at WrestleMania. The Canadian superstar defeated 'The Apex Predator' in a gruelling encounter at the Performance Center as it seemed like the rivalry had come to an end.

Much to the surprise of the wrestling community, WWE has not ended that feud as the two wrestlers will collide once again at the Backlash pay-per-view event. It looks like the creative team has planned a trilogy for the former world champions as they may wrestle a finale at SummerSlam if Orton emerges victorious next month.

Since the Hall of Famer has only just made his comeback, the company may allow him to win this feud and shift his focus to another opponent in the latter part of the year. A majority of the fans have craved for a match between Edge and AJ Styles. It is a dream bout for the wrestling universe. Thus, Vince McMahon should wait until 2021 and then kick off a storyline between these two veterans that would culminate at WrestleMania 37.
