5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dark (Mar 24)

1. Janela & Kiss Show Chemistry

The surprising chemistry between Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela is the biggest takeaway coming out of this week's episode of Dark, as they looked like a couple of guys who'd been teaming together for months against Mike Reed and southern indie journeyman Corey Hollis.

Quickfire tags saw the duo isolate Hollis early on, keeping him well away from Reed's outstretched hand. The heels cycled in and out themselves, but not with the same efficiency, as Kiss and Janela looked like they knew exactly what the other one was thinking at all times. Hollis and Reed served their purpose, with the latter showing good heel instincts too. They were mighty fine jobbers and fell to a nice tandem spot in the end, as Janela hit an elbow drop from Kiss' back before Sonny hit his Kiss Is It finisher for the pinfall.

Great to see Sonny getting his first win of 2020. Singles runs for both him and 'The Bad Boy' would be nice, but more sweet little tag bouts will do until then.
