5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (April 1)

Ups...

5. A Solid Qualifier

Jamie Hayter Skye Blue Rebel
AEW

Unlike House Of Black, Jamie Hayter isn't at the level where she should be running straight through anybody. She's very much a third wheel at times behind Rebel and Britt Baker, so this was something of a coming out party in front of an AEW audience that typically greets her with apathy.

Hayter and Skye Blue (who has real potential) made the most of their minutes here.

Jamie was always winning it, but Skye got enough licks in to make it watchable. The live crowd slowly-but-surely started to get onboard with things once it became clear that this wasn't gonna be Hayter steamrolling over the top of Blue in two minutes - praise should be heaped on both women for this one.

It was a nifty piece of business. Hayter qualified for the upcoming Owen Hart Foundation tourney, she looked strong in doing so and Skye proved to everyone watching backstage that she's worthy of more TV time in the future.
