5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Jan 6)

3. A Top Tag

Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter won't be pals on-screen forever, which is a bit of a shame when they're blasting their way through top performances like this one. Their clash with The Renegade Twins was one of the better women's tag showings AEW has put on for a while. Remember it when watching next week's Dynamite.

Saraya and Toni Storm may struggle to do better than The Renegades.

Speaking of Robyn and Charlette, they're deserving of more TV time in 2023. Tony Khan couldn't have failed to notice how poised they were as the villains of the piece on Friday, or how they were able to maximise their minutes. Even JR was impressed, and he's seen it at all at this stage.

Mission accomplished for Britt and Jamie in terms of prepping for midweek marquee matches to come too. This was a flawless example of how to showcase one team's chemistry without stomping all over the potential of another.
