5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Nov 4)

1. An All-Energy Tag & Angle

Last week, Tay Melo and Madison Rayne had a stinker of a match that never really got going. The good news? Rayne bounced back on Friday to team with Skye Blue and work a tidy little tag bout opposite Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker. It was an engaging watch from start to finish.

Hayter, who challenges Toni Storm for the Interim Women's Title at Full Gear, was also handed the win and that was the right call. AEW even managed to squeeze in some more drama with Storm post-match. Everything was really slick and well-worked - the match clicked, and the post-match angle built towards a pay-per-view showdown.

That's all anyone can really ask for.

Wrestling Hayter is exactly the kind of match Toni needs, and the Blue/Rayne tandem didn't look like total losers in defeat either. Being frank, AEW could do a lot worse than set up a women's tag division soon-ish. They've got a lot of female workers who shine in tags more than they do in singles.
