What a golden exchange that opening promo showdown involving The Usos, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was. KO mentioning that Jimmy and Jey looked out for him when he first joined WWE was a wonderful touch, and Jey interrupting Sami to question what he knows about loyalty sold the pain of his decision to turn against an unlikely friend.

Everything these lads said resonated with the live crowd. It was emotional stuff, and they simply must headline 'Mania 39's opening night. That isn't even really up for debate at this point, 'cause no other story being weaved pre-pay-per-view comes anywhere close to this or Roman vs. Cody.

Some have suggested that headlining twin nights with babyface victories would be "too obvious" on social media. So what? This is the biggest weekender of 2023, and everyone tuning in will be choking to see the good guys come out on top come bell time.
