5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (June 24)

1. The Problem With Forbidden Door

Want to know the main problem with Sunday's Forbidden Door pay-per-view?

Eddie Kingston attacking Chris Jericho during the closing few minutes of Rampage exposed the show's biggest flaw; their brawl, and the upcoming Blood & Guts cage match, totally overshadowed everything else that was happening around ringside.

Excalibur tried his best, but his crowing about the "AEW vs. New Japan" rivalry was second-rate next to Kingston stabbing Jericho with a pen or gnawing at his forehead. These guys have more juice, perhaps literally, than anything that's going down at Forbidden Door.

Will Ospreay, FTR, Orange Cassidy and all those other workers fighting for attention from the cameras might as well have been mannequins. They didn't really matter, at least not compared to the last-minute Blood & Guts hype going down around them.
