5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 13 - Results & Review)

2. Is This All He Does Now?

Mark Henry
AEW

Mark Henry's, "It's time for the main event" inserts need binned.

They add nothing to the show, and haven't done for a long, long time. Weirdly, Henry's short vignettes don't even do a solid job of setting the scene for headline bouts on Rampage. They're totally useless, and seem to only exist so Mark has something to do on TV every week.

It's time for something else - time for Tony Khan to find Henry another on-screen role, or ditch him from on-camera stuff completely so he can focus on mentoring younger talents behind the curtain. Mark is probably really good at that, but his pre-main appearances on Fridays offer sod all.

Here, fans saw some brief clips of Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta hitting moves, then the exact same for Gates Of Agony. That was literally it. Wow, that'll put some butts in seats. Finding thinly-veiled excuses to get Mark freakin' Henry on TV in 2023 must stop.
