Sabin and Shelley ended up winning the tag belts from Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa on the same night they became number one contenders. That decision was refreshingly dramatic, and the Machine Guns winning got a cool pop because of all the overarching Bloodline business surrounding it. Smell the hubbub!

Again, it's time to give these Motor City boys some post-win mic time to explain their characters and why they came to WWE at this stage in the game. Now, and this is a huge positive, they can do that with championships draped over each of their shoulders. That'll carry some weight once they start talking, 'cause now the Guns are speaking from a position of strength.

There's a sly sub-plot to all of this too. Solo Sikoa went Mr. Fuji at WrestleMania IX and handed out a title shot because he was feeling cocky. That came back to bite the so-called 'Tribal Chief' (who looked far more comfortable on the mic in Brooklyn than he ever has), which is something his troops can use against him when the time is right.
