5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 10)

1. Robert Roode's Comeback

Bayley might want to glance at Robert Roode and see the kind of fire good heels need every now and then.

It was awesome to see Roode back in the mix for several reasons. One, he and Dolph Ziggler can now tear it up in tag matches against The Usos as their leader 'King' Corbin continues battling Roman Reigns. Two, Roode is a credit to the roster when he's around and has been rescued from creative hell by association with Ziggler.

Roode's intensity made his beatdown on Reigns more impactful too. The way he rained down punches on Roman and hit a Spinebuster onto the announce desk before looking at the 'Big Dog' like he was a big piece of sh*t really sold his hatred for SmackDown's joint lead babyface (Daniel Bryan is in that conversation himself).

SmackDown's tag ranks are filling up with cracking teams. New Day, John Morrison and The Miz, The Revival, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode, The Usos and even others like Lucha House Party and Heavy Machinery can all work fun matches over the next few months.
