5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (4 May)

Ups...

5. Blackpool Combat Club Things

William Regal
AEW

Preceded by an excellent William Regal promo and training montage, the Blackpool Combat Club's latest trios victory was their least impactful thus far but still a good time across the board.

Andrade Family Office's The Butcher, The Blade, and Angelico (appearing on Dynamite for the first time since last September) were the opponents this time. Angelico and Bryan Danielson proved a particularly fun pairing on a technical level, suggesting that a singles match between the two would probably be awesome, while the imposing, ruthless Butcher was a great foil for young Wheeler Yuta's spirit. The end result was the same as ever, though: the BCC putting their opponents away with simultaneous submissions and trapped strikes.

Danielson scored the tap-out on Angelico this time. With Yuta soon flying to Japan for Best of the Super Jr., this format is due for a switch-up.
