5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (August 9 - Review)

Downs…

4. Fading Out, Fading Away or Faking It?

The JAS
AEW

It's one of the three for The Jericho Appreciation Society, but are any of the options particularly fascinating from an episodic point of view?

One by one, the JAS explained their reasons for walking away from their leader before Sammy Guevara pledged partial support, pending Jericho making the right call when he gives his answer to Don Callis on next week's show. What might have once carried weight played out to relative indifference from the live crowd, which is a problem in and of itself, but if the whole thing is a swerve on Callis by the group...so what?

Is The JAS - and Jericho in particular - as babyfaces really that captivating? If all of this was for realsies this time honest guv, is that particularly noteworthy? Guevara's stance was the most interesting takeaway. In either situation, their bond appeared to be becoming the new focus until the 'Invisible Hand' began to meddle.

The possible problems with a face Jericho Vs heel Will Ospreay at All In have been outlined on this pages before, so maybe there's one last twist in the tale, but sometimes the most obvious conclusions are the ones to draw, and little from this opening segment inspired any reason to doubt the inevitable.
