5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Hall Of Fame 2025 (Results & Review)
1. Bret, Austin Share The Spotlight
Going into the first-ever induction of an “Immortal Moment” for the WrestleMania 13 I Quit match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin, one had to wonder how the Hitman and Stone Cold would interact with each other.
It could have been awkward or clunky, but both men spent their time on stage lavishing praise on the match and each other, how their chemistry, trust and respect for each other allowed them to tell such a great story in the ring that night.
Hart (after cheekily noting that he’s the first person with three Hall of Fame rings) said he knew that match might have been his best while sitting in the dressing room afterward, while Austin said that without Bret, Stone Cold as we know him might not have happened.
As far as matches/moments to choose to leadoff this new category for HOF inductions, WWE couldn’t have picked a better one. Many describe the submission match from WM 13 as their favorite and/or one of the most influential matches in WWE history. Great call.
