When Tiffany Stratton tumbled off a ladder and seemingly smacked the back of her head on the floor in an ugly-looking spot, there was an immediate feeling that the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match was going to be snakebitten and fall apart.

Instead, the women rallied and delivered the match of the night, stealing the show.

Everyone worked hard in this match and played to their strengths. Tiffany and Sol Ruca had a nice acrobatic display during a brief one-on-one segment, showcasing their gymnastic backgrounds a bit. Lash Legend threw women around and overpowered everyone at a couple of points.

The finishing sequence saw everyone climb in rapid succession but get taken down in dramatic fashion, until Stratton used the briefcase to blast Lash in the face and knock her off the ladder, capturing her second Money in the Bank victory.

This match was what MITB should be: a crisp, all-action contest that didn’t dwell in drama or traffic in elaborate spots and setups. Clocking in at 15 minutes, it was half the length of the men’s MITB match, and it was all the better for it.
