5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2026 (Results & Review)
2. Back To Basics

Last year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match was a disappointment, an overbooked mess that left fans flat.
Thankfully, the 2026 iteration just got back to basics (with a cartoonish ambulance spot thrown in) with six men trying to murk each other.
Bron Breakker deserves individual praise for flying around the ring and attacking anyone and everyone at every turn. He suplexed, speared, and threw the other five men around with ease. As the match wound down, he dropped Kevin Owens and CM Punk simultaneously, countered a Penta Mexican Destroyer with a spear, and speared Trick Williams, all before tipping Je’Von Evans off a ladder and through an ambulance roof.
Punk and Owens repeatedly paired off, their hatred for each other overshadowing their desire to actually retrieve the briefcase.
And then there was Penta winning the match, which is a testament to WWE’s faith in him after his recent run at the world title. Who knows how this will play out, but it’s nice to see the company roll the dice a bit and strike while the proverbial iron is hot.
