5. Priest Refocuses

Rhea Ripley can’t quit the Judgment Day – or at least her desire to destroy certain members of the group – but Damian Priest clearly has moved on.

Priest confronted Gunther in the locker room on Monday night, telling him that he’s finished with the Judgment Day and is focused on regaining the World Heavyweight Championship that Finn Balor cost him at SummerSlam. Like a good babyface, Priest said he’d earn the title shot, telling Gunther to focus on Crown Jewel for now, and Damian will be waiting afterward.

Odds are that Gunther won’t be losing the world title anytime soon, but it’s always good to have credible challengers lining up wanting the title. For Priest, he needs a good program that doesn’t involve the Judgment Day, and getting back into the World Heavyweight Championship mix – even if he’s unsuccessful – is a good development rather than doing the Triple H “three PLE matches in a row” special.

Sure, Priest and Balor will likely clash again soon enough, but Damian shouldn’t be obsessed with Finn after beating him cleanly at Bad Blood.
