This tournament to tap the luchador who will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico City next month has been hit or miss so far, with WWE giving fans both ends of the spectrum Monday night.

Unfortunately for Penta, he got to be at the low end in his match with La Parka. The match just never really gelled, with Parka looking out of sync throughout, taking extra stutter steps just to run the ropes. The result was a match that technically was fine, but for a semifinal, where you’re two steps away from a world title match, this was a letdown.

Sure, they hit a few nice moves, and Penta remains insanely popular, but this was noticeably a couple steps below the other semifinal between Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee.
