3. Street Fight Is The Way To Our Hearts

There’s no point in beating around the bush: Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest has some backstory due to what happened at last year's WrestleMania 40, but it’s only really happening at 41 because WWE had nothing else for these guys. Even so, they’ve been working hard to make the feud click, and violence is the way to go.

Priest and McIntyre have used car windshields (real glass!) and a string of other bruising bumps to try get fans on board with their beef rekindling just in time for 'Mania. This week, it was Drew's turn to ambush Damian and then cut a promo adding some more context to the rivalry.

Later, once Priest had returned/hammered a few security guards, McIntyre hit a DDT on the steel steps that looked utterly fab. This was a mini preview of what's to come in the pair's ‘Sin City Street Fight’ in Vegas, which should be some scrap. You just know both dudes will lay it in and try to score some brownie points for themselves coming out of the weekend.

Going the 'Street Fight' route is definitely preferable to just putting them in a regular match. That wouldn't have made much sense when they've been attacking one another with weapons or backstage every other week.

Drew smashing into Priest with the corner of the steel steps looked brutal too. Damian surely protected his eyes and nose, but it looked for all the world like the jagged edge of those steps had bashed him right in the face. Anyone who enjoyed their match in Scotland on Clash At The Castle 2024 last summer is in for a treat come Vegas.
