5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (27 Feb - Results & Review)

2. Fixing The Jey Uso Problem

Before SmackDown, it did feel like there was a disproportionate number of babyfaces compared to heels in the men’s Chamber match, so it made sense to put Logan Paul in there as a sub for Jey (who was a sub for Bronson Reed). Basically, creative swapped one Vision member for another, which was necessary. Now, Logan can become a villainous punching bag at some point in Saturday's brawl.

It is fair to say that Jacob Fatu will need a few big wins soon or he’s cooked as a main eventer in the short term, but this TV headliner worked a treat and felt legitimately fresh. That was a top near fall on Logan’s frog splash too - fans around ringside 100% thought Jacob was staying down for the 3 count, and there was a cracking pop when he juuuuuust lifted his shoulder before the end.

One of the bigger plot points coming out of this is the masked man reveal, of course. The dude under the hood was one of Seth Rollins' old students, apparently, but he didn’t take too much away from the match and the announcers didn't over-egg his involvement. They did, however, point fingers at Drew McIntyre for costing Jacob just because he can.

That was logical as well.

Hopefully, this isn't the last time WWE put LP and Fatu in a ring together. It's obvious they could do even better than this if given more time to work with, but they had a mission on Friday and worked it to perfection. The match is worth seeing even if you know the final result.
