4. Tag-Team Wrestling Wins Again!

The Street Profits Melo Don't Miz

It's a bit of a shame that The Miz and Carmelo Hayes didn’t go all the way to the tag title shot, but The Street Profits are a reliable option for WWE creative as challengers. There won't be too much interest in the match at Clash In Paris with The Wyatt Sicks going in, but who knows? Something dramatic might happen to change that.

You've got to call what you see when reviewing WWE TV, and The Profits vs. Melo Don’t Miz was a tidy tag bout with plenty of action and a nice ending. The main story hook afterwards will be that Miz got distracted by The Sicks around ringside and wasn’t there for Melo’s tag when he needed him. Here's hoping this isn’t the end of the road for them though, because they’ve got chemistry together and probs deserve a run as champs themselves.

Hell, they’d be a better choice than Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy. Right, that's plenty whinging about the current incumbents for one day!

The tag-team division has been a real credit to SmackDown's lineup in 2025. The Profits have played a big part in that, but it's been lovely to see Melo Don't Miz come into their own again over the past couple of weeks. Paris was rocking during portions of this match, so fingers crossed those who call the shots were paying attention in Gorilla.

If handled properly, this setback could theoretically lead to an unlikely babyface spin for Miz and Hayes. Watch this space in coming months for that.
