5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 14)

1. All About Roman

Roman Reigns refusing to come to Jey Uso's aid proves Jimmy's point about the 'Tribal Chief'. It's all about Roman, and he wasn't about to stop Cesaro from blasting Jey with two Neutralisers to close out SmackDown this week. That's fine - he should think about self-preservation.

WWE are building another compelling case for more family drama too. It wouldn't be a stretch to book Jimmy as a place-holding Universal Title challenger for Reigns at either Money In The Bank or Extreme Rules, and they even could follow the exact same template they did last year with Jey.

That's a win as far as creative are concerned.

Cesaro could get lost in the shuffle again long-term, but he's banging out short-but-sweet promos and killer performances in his sleep these days. It's very encouraging to see WWE end SmackDown with him on top two weeks in a row.
