5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 6)

WWE can say what they like, but the Backlash six-man is fairly pointless stuff. Neither Roman Reigns' Undisputed Title nor either set of tag straps will be on the line, and that makes this glorified house show fare come to pay-per-view. On the plus side, everybody is working hard to make it watchable.

The show-closing brawl from SmackDown worked a treat.

If this guy was honest, he's not digging the comedy stuff with "RK-McBro", but that skirmish before the cameras faded was a reminder of what happens when top workers get intense. Seeing Drew McIntyre and Roman belt the living crap out of one another mid-ring is always a hoot.

This story won't move on until 'Mania Backlash is over with. Sunday's show will give a better indication of where WWE plans to take the tale - McIntyre will either be Reigns' next challenger come HIAC, or Nakamura will strike.

Meh, at least everyone is putting a shift in.
