4. Christian Cage Rechristens Nick Wayne & Luchasaurus
One of the difficulties in viewing and reviewing wrestling through any kind of critical lens is when you're faced with having to analyse the story happening in front of you as well as the one you believe it is attempting to tell going forward.
In the case of the Adam Copeland/Christian Cage situation, there have now been a few cases of the angle not really living up to the expectations. Copeland initially promised not to fight his longstanding best mate then went back on it and swore vengeance after a fortnight. His inability to get what he wanted at Full Gear extended to him taking out the newly-renamed (and downtrodden ex-dinosaur) Killswitch and The Prodigy Nick Wayne here, but he waited a long time to save Shanna Wayne (music cue included), and the violence he subjected her son to in the aftermath may well lead her into the arms of his enemy.
This was quite bad, but the outcome might not be. Like Copeland's run in AEW in general thus far, the jury's still out.
