5 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Oct 2)

As sure as the sky is blue, and as sure as water is wet, here's your pal Randy Orton finishing in the Ups column after once again proving himself SmackDown's biggest sadist.

Last night's Tye Dillinger angle was well played. After getting destroyed by 'The Viper' the previous week, a fired up 'Perfect 10' convinced Paige to let him face the former WWE Champion later on. This went predictably poorly for Tye. The match never got started, with Dillinger attacking Randy before the bell, but while he got his fair share of licks on Orton, the evil prick took the upper hand. As if beating him up wasn't enough, Randy's encore had him slide one of Tye's fingers into the turnbuckle screw, yank back on it, and seemingly break it, leaving the babyface in agony.

This bone-snapping segment not only painted Orton as a sociopath, but closed with a tidy little easter egg. Last week, Randy declared he'd attacked Dillinger "because that 'Perfect 10' crap just pisses me off," so what does he do? Take out one of Tye's digits so that he can't do his signature hand gesture. Brilliant.
