5 Ups & 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 10)

1. Ruining The Women’s Division

When wrestling historians look back for the official end of WWE’s women’s (r)evolution, they might be able to pinpoint it to this week’s edition of Raw.

During a six-woman tag match (which was a poor match on its face), Alexa Bliss suddenly appeared on the ramp, complete with swing set and Lilly, the creepy doll. The match ground to a halt as everyone stared at Bliss while she told them she was there to keep an eye on “someone.” The match carried on in embarrassing fashion until Asuka picked up the meaningless win over Shayna Baszler and got laid out by Charlotte Flair, and then Alexa started laughing up on the ramp… while everyone stared – again.

Oh, did we mentioned that Flair and Asuka are in a triple threat for the Raw Women’s Championship on Sunday? No? Because it sure as hell didn’t feel like a major title match was being sold here.

Instead, a huge chunk of the Raw women’s division was transfixed by a woman dressed as a child on a swing with a creepy doll that apparently is magical and forces Bliss to do unspeakable things.

Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Ronda Rouse main-eventing WrestleMania 35 feels like a lifetime ago. Stephanie McMahon introducing Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Lynch to the main roster seems like prehistoric times. But hey, Lilly. 2021, man.
