5 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jul 5)

4. Kiera's New Attitude

With her new attitude intact, Kiera Hogan went up against Madison Rayne while Jordynne Grace sat in on commentary. This was the first proper time we've got to see what this change of attitude has done for Kiera - if it's a sign of things to come, then we may have a future Knockouts Champion on our hands.

Hogan ambushed Grace before the bell rang, before proceeding to wear down her actual opponent. An attempt to use the ropes for leverage saw Rayne kick out, but Kiera would eventually be declared the victor after performing a bridging variation of Elias' Drift Away. Following this, Kiera goaded 'Thicc Mama Pump' into entering the ring, only to leg it with a grin across her face.

Both the match and the short post-match segment were perfect. We're finally getting to see a spotlight put on some of the other knockouts while the main four of five are busy in other stories. Depending on what follows for the pair, this little angle with Kiera and Jordynne could be fantastic, if given the correct opportunities. For now, that is certainly the case. Kiera looked like a star here, something that we haven't been able to say before.
