There was more Rumble-related promotion awaiting Charlotte Flair later in the show too. At first, it looked like Flair was only in the house to throw up some match announcements on the tron, but the 'Queen' then revealed that she herself would enter the Rumble despite being SmackDown Women's Champion.

WWE has had worse ideas.

Charlotte doesn't have anything else going on as champ anyway, so sticking her in the 30-woman brawl is a solid enough call. It's exactly the kind of thing Flair would do anyway - she's a spotlight hog, and explained that she wants to win the Rumble then choose her own WrestleMania 38 opponent.

No, Charlotte defo didn't need to get involved in the never-ending Sonya vs. Naomi story, but it's cool that she's Rumble-bound. Nobody needed to see WWE scramble post-Toni Storm and throw an exhibition title defence on the pay-per-view card, let's be honest.
