5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 16 - Review)
6. Same Ol’ Hurt Business
During the past couple of weeks, it looked like WWE could be re-forming one of its pandemic-era stables, the Hurt Business. For whatever reason, that group is still looked upon by many fans favorably despite a very checkered history.
Monday, we got to see that checkered history on display before the stable could even have its reunion.
Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin teamed for the second time in as many weeks, this time against the Street Profits. The duo had a nice, competitive little match, but then MVP came out to observe. He would horribly mistime a spot where he was supposed to pull Cedric out of the way from Angelo Dawkins’ spinning splash, but everyone would proceed like nothing would happen.
Alexander hit a jumping knee on Dawkins and went for the pin, only for the hometown hero to reverse the pin, sending Cedric & Shelton to defeat and left them whining at MVP for interfering in their match.
Yep, same ol’ Hurt Business. Everyone not named Bobby Lashley underperforms in the ring and complains about it.
