5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 30)

3. Shots! Oh, Guitar Shots…

Remember when a guitar shot laid out a wrestler for good? It was lights out when Honky Tonk Man or Jeff Jarrett hit you with the acoustic.

However, Elias and Jeff Hardy have debased it down to the level of a kendo stick. The video showing the two walloping each other repeatedly during the past couple of months pretty much sealed it, but then their Symphony of Destruction match really drove the point home.

But in case that wasn’t enough, this match gave us an electrocution, as Elias tried to impale Hardy, missed and stabbed the speaker behind Jeff, and somehow electrocuted himself with a wooden guitar neck (maybe they’re thinking the nonexistent strings carried the shock). And then, Hardy nearly killed himself with a Swanton off the ring post to the floor, cracking his head on the ring steps on the way down.

Great to see Jeff killing himself for an absolute nothing of a match, and Elias getting absolutely killed by this booking. Just wonderful stuff.
