5 Ups And 2 Downs For WWE NXT (Jun 1)

After Karrion Kross saw off the challenge of The Prince a week ago, all eyes quickly locked onto what (or should that be who) was next for the Bringer of Doomsday coming into TakeOver: In Your House. The answer: a triple threat number one contender match between Kool Kyle, Johnny Wrestling, and the Bruiserweight.

Worried that two of these men will be left with nothing to do come June 13? Don't be... but that's not necessarily a good thing.

Away from an ill thought out men's top title scene, though, Raquel Gonzalez's next challenger came into view, setting up a mouth-watering showdown built on a simple but effective storyline of "you beat up my mate, so now I'm going to beat up you and yours". Seriously, it's that easy sometimes.

Also, two Championships were on the line last night, with KUSHIDA laying down the open challenge once again, and MSK looking to finally see off the vicious pain in the ass that are Legado del Fantasma. Million Dollar Legacies were fought over, Tag Champions had their Way with a pair of plucky faces, and another battle of the badasses was set in stone for the upcoming PPV too.

In short, it wasn't all stellar stuff, but what hit, hit mighty hard and left you needing to cool down after a non-stop two-hour ride. Then again, that may just be the summer heatwave talking...
