5 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's NXT (April 1)

TakeOver: Tampa, or FakeOver: Damper?

Hey there all you cool cats and kittens, Clery here for Big Cat Wrescue and welcome back to another exciting episode of NXT Ups and Downs. Yes, this should have been our go-home show for TakeOver but, instead, it's another taping emanating from the empty, echoey halls of the WWE Performance Centre.

We'd been promised last week the marquee matches scheduled for that event would be coming to regular TV episodes in the next two weeks and, well, that didn't really happen, but tonight's main event would at least see something resembling it. Big Man 1 vs Big Man 2 vs Big Man 3 in a titanic clash for the NXT Big Men Only Apparently Championship.

Elsewhere on the card, we'd be finding out who was inexplicably taking Bianca Belair's place as the 6th entrant in the Women's Number 1 Contender ladder match, and the latest in the Velveteen Dream vs Undisputed Era saga. Yeah, ok, this isn't the week of television I think any of us wanted, but it wouldn't be the first time the sheer level of talent on WWE's many rosters clawed enjoyment out of the jaws of disappointment.

Everyone's doing the best they can in the circumstances, so let's go and see how they got on.
