2. You're New Number One Contender... Just Because...

Literal seconds after his wife had just gone through a hectic and gruelling battle royal to earn her NXT Women's Championship opportunity, we were quickly reminded that Johnny Gargano had been gifted the chance to face North American Champion Damian Priest at TakeOver...just because.

Yes, he's 'Johnny TakeOver' and Gargano is rightly considered as one of the biggest stars in NXT, but this whole situation screams of just throwing together a match because the brand haven't bothered to build up enough credible challengers to the new champ.

Again, this bout will probably be a joy to watch as both stars are more than capable of putting together a deeply enjoyable, character driven showcase. Yet, you can't help but feel as though someone like Bronson Reed would've deserved a shot at the 'Archer of Infamy' and benefited from the spotlight that little bit more than 'The Wednesday Knight'.

Oh, and matches of this size being announced out of nowhere on Twitter is also NEVER a good look.
