5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 2)

2. Wyatt Family Dominance Sets Up Tag-Team Match Next Week

Post-match, Bray Wyatt was allowed to get some of his heat back. Erick Rowan ran in to attack Dolph Ziggler, causing Dean Ambrose to leave his position behind the announce desk and try to make the save. He was then turned over by The Wyatt Family, who hurled him to to the outside.

From there, Bray nailed Dolph with Sister Abigail, posing over his fallen frame with Rowan as the show faded to black. The overwhelming sense here was that Wyatt was still firmly in the mix for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, even though he won't necessarily be involved in the upcoming SummerSlam match.

Looking at WWE's booking history, it makes sense to believe that next week's SmackDown will feature a tag-team match. There, Bray will team with Rowan to take on the 'odd pairing' of Ziggler and Ambrose. There's nothing particularly wrong with that, it could add some spice to the WWE Title picture if it happens.
