5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 2)
1. Brock Lesnar's Receipt For Randy Orton

Complaints will surely be made about the fact that WWE are disregarding their own brand split rules already. Thankfully, Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton was a match made before the WWE Draft, so it makes sense that they need to invade different shows to continue their rivalry. If nothing else, the whole thing comes across as a 'cross branded' marquee monster.
On Monday Night Raw, Orton emerged out of nowhere to hit Lesnar with a picturesque RKO. Returning the favour, Brock interrupted Randy's match with Fandango on SmackDown, smashing him with an F5 as security, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan failed to stop 'The Beast' from making his mark.
Unlike Raw, this statement didn't end SmackDown. Instead, it fell in the mid card, putting over the idea that Lesnar was out of control and liable to arrive on the scene at any given moment. Brock's appearance felt meaningful, and it'll be interesting to see what happens next in the feud.
