It's vitally important that WWE's writing team don't forget about Bray Wyatt. The cult-like character has never been enabled to really build up a head of steam, something that has pretty much kept him out of the main event squad on a consistent basis. The brand split offers the chance to change that.

Right now, it's felt that Wyatt's best role was to help facilitate the push of Dolph Ziggler. On SmackDown, Bray fell to an exposed turnbuckle and sweetly-delivered Superkick, staring at the lights for the man WWE are relying on to challenge for the WWE Title at SummerSlam. Whereas the first half of the match was a slow burner, the second really caught fire.

The pair didn't overdo the idea of near falls, instead letting the action breathe. Consequently, the live crowd found themselves sucked into the match, popping nicely when Ziggler picked up a hard-fought victory. Hopefully, this isn't the last we'll see of matches between these guys.
