3. Tables Match Finishes Before It Gets Going
On Monday Night Raw, WWE dedicated some minutes to discussing what would happen on the next episode of Smackdown. One of the matches hyped heavily was a tag-team Tables Match pitting The Dudley Boyz against The Wyatt Family, the bout was even mentioned twice as the first of its kind on Smackdown for around 4 years. Sadly, when push came to the shove (pun intended), it didn't live up to the billing. The Dudley Boyz vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan was only handed around 7 minutes in total, which really wasn't enough for the quartet to work with. In truth, they deserved better, and the bout only seemed to be warming up by the time Bubba Ray pushed Harper from the ring steps and sent him crashing through a nearby table. Fans audibly sounded disappointed by the sudden conclusion, and it's confusing why WWE decided to book things this way. Surely, the match could have been excellent had the men involved been given more time. Post-match shenanigans, which will be explored later in this article, did work out well, but the actual bout itself should have been more memorable.
