1. Kalisto's Title Reign Is Short-Lived
WWE fans around the globe must be scratching their heads and wondering what the point was of giving Kalisto the United States Title on Monday Night Raw. The masked man's win was treated like an upset victory, but it did provoke a nice reaction from the live crowd. On Smackdown, the reset button was pushed, as Alberto Del Rio defeated Kalisto to regain the gold. 'King' Barrett did make his presence felt, which could be used as an excuse for the babyface in promos. That said, it was baffling to see his title run end so quickly. Quick fire title switches like this do little for the prestige of championship belts. Kalisto will be announced as a former United States Champion by commentators, but his run lasted 24 hours in reality, a scant 3 days in TV land. There are rumours that Kalisto will face Del Rio again at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view, so he may be given the title for good at that event. Even if he is, it'll feel a little underwhelming. Fans have already witnessed Kalisto beat Del Rio, so any future title win likely wouldn't feel quite as special.
