AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Uso wasn't a patch on recent matches Styles has had with Xavier Woods or Kofi Kingston, but then again both those guys are more seasoned singles wrestlers. Jimmy Uso isn't really, he's obviously much more comfortable when sharing the ring with his brother Jey, and that came across on SmackDown.

Keeping things short and sweet, AJ vs. Jimmy went around 5/6 minutes, before Styles inevitably scored the win. WWE have reached a point with AJ where they're comfortable having him win regularly on TV, which is definitely a huge positive. It's also merited, because he's one of the few on the roster who can have a good match against anyone.

It would have been a mistake to have Styles lose, he really needs to keep winning before facing John Cena again at Battleground. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson did get involved here, but Jey Uso was also there to balance things out a bit. This furthered the story that The Club will do anything to win.
