5 Ups And 3 Downs From UFC 249

5. Up - Mitchell The Mauler

Getting a finish during a fight is no walk in the park. It's obviously what all fighters strive for, but making it happen is easier said than done. However, if a fighter can't finish an opponent, the next best thing would be to dominate them so thoroughly that they can't imagine going on the offensive.

Highly-touted featherweight prospect, Bryce Mitchell, did exactly that, giving his opponent, Charles Rosa, zero opportunities to do anything during their bout. From the first minute of the first round to the last second of the final one, Mitchell had his way with Rosa in whatever way he wanted.

Whether he was in a dominant position and forcing Rosa to exert all of his energy and exhaust himself or if he was attempting to put the finishing touches to the numerous submission attempts he tried to lock in, Thug Nasty did a fantastic job of showing why he's the up-and-coming featherweight fans need to keep an eye on in 2020.
