5 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night’s WWE NXT (April 22)

Ups...

5. One More Match For CJ

Hideo Itami Cj Parker Christian would be proud. It turns out that, after last week's assumed farewell gig for CJ Parker, he taped at least one more match before heading out the door. Watching his final matches have become almost a bittersweet affair, especially considering that whilst wrestling one of the biggest stars in the history of Japanese wrestling, he still managed to hold his own with the crowd, "Let's Go Hideo, Let's Go CJ" chants populating their match. While it would be over-romantic to think that CJ Parker realistically had a shot at climbing higher in NXT considering his perennial jobber status, and the current top-star-heavy state of the show at the moment, it was still nice to see him, especially knowing that he's gone from the company. It remains to be seen if any more matches were taped involving Parker, but they're always a welcome sight. For anyone wanting to get their CJ fix, he'll be performing alongside fellow WWE-departer Justin Gabriel for Dreamwave Wrestling in Illinois on May 2nd.
