5 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night’s WWE NXT (April 22)

4. NXT On The Road

Concerns about NXT not accurately simulating the touring experience are gradually being put to rest with the announcement of an NXT mini-tour throughout May and June. The show will be creeping outwards north and west, to Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio before returning to their base in Florida. It remains to be seen if these will be non-televised house shows or full-on TV tapings, but WWE.com have released all the details on when and where local fans can get the opportunity to cheer on their favourite NXT regulars. Having journeyed to Ohio recently for the Arnold Classic and selling out a huge night in San Jose over Wrestlemania weekend, NXT is slowly but surely building up its touring capabilities. Its necessary proximity to the performance centre down in Florida means that it will never become fully nomadic like RAW or Smackdown, but the fact that NXT's travelling days are only just beginning has to be a welcome sight for fans nationwide, even if it will mean much more time away from home for the NXT regulars. It's good training for their eventual call-up to the main roster and another step toward Triple H fully realising all of his goals for the show, cementing it as one of the biggest jewels in the company crown.
