In another unexpected development to tumble out of this week's show, 2.0 managed to conjure up some genuine sympathy for a returning Dante Chen as the newbie revealed the various injury and personal issues that had plagued him since we last saw the star battle it out on 2.0 in September. This knowledge of Chen's number one fan, his father, passing away before he could see his son really have a run in NXT immediately made you root for the lad and added a much-needed dimension to his bout with Guru Raaj last night.

That was, until a Chen dive to the outside was followed by the emergence of an also returning Duke Hudson, with the other Australian d*ckhead NXT has to offer beating the p*ss out of the babyface and throwing out the long-awaited second 2.0 match for this underdog.

Sure, a DQ finish isn't high up anyone's list of intriguing match conclusions, but having Chen face off against Hudson for a few weeks will only work in favour of him getting over as a sincerely likeable personality - not exactly hard when you're coming up against the guy who almost butted a camera in telling it to "STAY OUT OF HIS WAY!"

Cautious optimism, everyone...
