5. ‘Blubbering In Her Blubber’

They didn’t really just do that, did they?

Alexa Bliss and Mickie James have been doing a “Mean Girls” routine in their verbal attacks on Nia Jax lately. But they’ve been erring on the side of humor more than anything, calling her “Shrek” and the like.

During a selfie promo (complete with those godawful superimposed words), Bliss and James talked about Nia’s “blubber,” a pretty direct fat joke. The irony of it was that Mickie was subjected to a pretty infamous angle where LayCool called her “Piggie James.” That angle was ridiculed by many because of how long it went on and how mean-spirited it was.

Now, odds are that Alexa and Mickie will get theirs on Sunday, making this much shorter and less overt than the “Piggie James” angle, but seeing James joke about blubber just brought back memories of that poor angle. And then Jax tearing up in her sit-down interview when recounting the insults just added to that sentiment.

We’ll give it a mild “down” here, acknowledging that it’s probably more sensitive than it should be.
