5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Backlash 2020

5. Sloppiness

Just to remind everyone, Backlash was a taped PPV, so any severe mistakes could have been reshot.

So when you see the IIconics stumbling around during a sloppy WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, Nia Jax falling off the top rope and tumbling to the floor, Jeff Hardy falling off the top also and failing to land on his feet to counter a move… you have to wonder why they didn’t fix any of these flubs.

Maybe they decided to go with the first take like they would in the live era rather than letting the wrestlers fall back on the crutch of taped matches, but it wouldn’t have been a horrible thing to reshoot a couple spots.
