2017 was looking like it was going to be a better year for Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, as the duo won the Raw Tag Team Championships in January and were slated to defend them at WrestleMania.

After an up and down debut year, the formerly dominant New Japan tag team finally reached the top in WWE. But that momentum was obliterated at WrestleMania, when the returning Hardy Boyz won the tag titles. Since then, the Club has lost five of their last six televised matches, including Sunday’s tag bout against Enzo Amore & Big Cass – the only team they had beaten since Mania.

It also means that at the one-third mark of the year, Gallows and Anderson are just a .500 tag team, treading water and trading wins with Enzo & Cass… again. Earlier this year, it felt like they were going to break out a bit, but they’re right back to square one, it seems.
