5. KO Runs Through Theory

It’s tough to figure out where things are going with Kevin Owens right now, but he enjoyed an interesting evening where he was a clear fan favorite in his match against Austin Theory Monday night.

KO charged straight ahead at Theory, basically bull-rushing him during their match, slapping him around and hitting all his usual high-impact offense, finally nailing a Stunner for the win and drawing huge cheers from the fans.

Afterward, he approached Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville and asked to be added to the Elimination Chamber, which was denied. He clearly got upset, and when it was suggested that he might not even be a part of WrestleMania 38, Owens went into a full-on sob story about how the people of Texas love him, and he loves them and how he needs Mania.

Although it’s unclear where things are headed, Owens has a way of elevating the material off the page, so this left this writer wanting to see where it heads next.
