5. Booker Nods To History
A small thumbs up to Booker T for a throwaway line he dropped during the Rusev/John Cena segment. After it was announced that Cena would face Rusev for the U.S. Championship at WrestleMania, Booker noted that the patriotic title was a championship that he brought from WCW to WWF/E. And indeed, Booker was both the U.S. and WCW World Heavyweight Champion when WCW closed its doors. He would award the title to Kanyon shortly after WCW reformed in WWF as the Alliance. In an industry where things that happened last week can be immediately forgotten, it was a nice moment to hear Booker tie a little history to the U.S. Championship. It added a little something to the segment if you were paying attention.
