5 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 9th)

4. Connor The Crusher Lauded

One of the most touching stories to come out of WWE in the past several years has been the company€™s infatuation with Connor €œThe Crusher€ Michalek, a sick child whose desire to meet Daniel Bryan led to an unusual relationship. Diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer, Connor managed to make such an impression on WWE wrestlers and brass that they invited him to WrestleMania XXX last year and rolled out the red carpet. He got to pin Triple H in a mini-match and was on hand to help Bryan celebrate his title win at Mania. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ej73ZNbMNY Shortly after Mania, Connor passed away at the age of 8. The Pittsburgh native was honored in his hometown Monday night by being named the first recipient of the Warrior Award, an idea the Ultimate Warrior mentioned in his Hall of Fame speech last year. It€™s a fitting tribute for a kid who clearly had an impact on several superstars.
